Since 2004 we have taken on Interns.
Part of our desire as a church is to be training our congregation, but also a new generation of Christian workers. If you would be interested in finding out more about interns please contact Paul Levy.
What is an intern?
An intern is someone who gives a year or two to come and serve at IPC. It is an opportunity to gain experience of working in a local congregation. We try to give as broad a minsitry experience as possible. This involves preaching, leading services, small group Bible studies, evangelistic talks, internationals ministry, working with children and generally being a support and helping hand in the congregation. Our female interns work particularly with womens Bible studies, discipleship and internationals outreach.
What about training?
Two of our interns have attended the Cornhill Training Course part time over 2 years. This is a course designed primarily to train preachers of the Bible but also focuses on training people to be better handlers of the bible. There are womens streams and youth work streams also.
